5 Step process of how homey is made

Honey is made by bees who collect nectar from flowers. They store the nectar in their honeycombs and fan their wings to evaporate the water. This leaves honey which the bees seal in cells of the comb.

When you harvest honey, you get the surplus that the bees have leftover after they’ve taken what they need for food. Beekeepers remove part of the hive and spin it using a centrifuge to extract the honeycomb cells to get at the honey. The wax then melts and is drained off, leaving pure liquid honey behind. The manuka honey singapore process is a little different.

The process of making honey can be broken down into five simple steps:

Gathering Nectar: Bees fly from flower to flower, collecting nectar. Then, they suck up the nectar with their tongues and store it in their honeycombs.

Evaporation: The bees then flap their wings to evaporate the water from the nectar. This leaves behind honey, which is about 18% sugar.

Sealing in Cells: Once the honey has been made, the bees seal it in the wax cells of the comb.

Removing Honeycomb: To get at the honey, beekeepers remove part of the hive and spin it using a centrifuge to extract the honeycomb cells.

Melting Wax and Draining off Honey: The wax then melts and is drained off, leaving pure liquid honey behind.
